Mr. William (Shawn) Coakley, Athletics and Activities Director has officially announced his retirement,effective July 2, 2024. Mr. Coakley stated, “After much thought and consideration, my wife and I have made the decisionto retire. I want to thank the board and administration for giving me the opportunity to serve the students, staff, andSandusky community as the District Athletic & Activities Director at Sandusky City Schools. I am appreciative of myexperiences and the people I have met during my tenure here. The support our community gives to the programs andstudents is truly special. It has been a privilege and pleasure to work with so many wonderful individuals and families. GoStreaks!” Mr. Coakley has worked for the district for 12 years and has played a pivotal role in shaping the student-athletesin the district. The Sandusky High School Hall of Fame committee will host the Annual SHS Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sandusky High School cafeteria honoring the Sandusky High School Hall of Fame Class of 2024. Sandusky City Schools will be hosting the 2024 Annual State of the Schools Address at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in the Sandusky High School Auditorium. Once again this year, we will feature the Sidney Frohman Planetarium and Sandusky Cultural Center as a pre-event activity that you will not want to miss! Attendees will have the opportunity to view a show prior to the State of the Schools Address in the Sidney Frohman Planetarium, walk through the Sandusky Cultural Center Art Gallery, and enjoy hors D’oeuvres from 4:00 pm – 5:45 pm.
