Licensed Practical Nursing

Licensed Practical Nursing

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, private homes, and physician's offices. They provide basic care to patients, which includes taking vitals signs, ensuring the comfort of patients, and administering medications. LPNs work under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and doctors.

Typically, LPNs have a sincere desire to care for others. They have strong interpersonal skills, and are able to demonstrate resilience and stamina. The job often requires LPNs to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Some of the Responsibilities for LPN’s
    Take and record vital signs
Administer medications as ordered and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
Dress wounds, apply compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles, bathe and dress patients, and collect lab specimens
Monitor patients and chart medical records accurately
Report the condition of a patient back to RNs and doctors
Communicate openly and effectively with patients and families, while demonstrating compassion and caring
    Supervise nursing assistants
Ensure that supplies, medications, and equipment are restocked and maintained so that they are ready to use
    Admit, discharge, and transfer patients

What sets us apart from other schools?
Clinical or caring for patients and residents begins three weeks after starting the program in a variety of settings.
Full time starts in January and in 44 weeks you can graduate. Or go part time and do half of the classes year one and finish year two.
Your tuition includes everything, the cost of your nursing license and NCLEX-PN examination, uniforms, books, lab supplies and fees.
3-day Live review at the school to prepare you to pass the NCLEX-PN.
After graduation and licensure, you can continue your education (if you meet admission requirements) and in one year become an RN.
We have a dedicated and experienced staff, with very little turnover. Our goal is for you to succeed!
